The Saratoga Foothill Club Historic Landmark Foundation was created in 2003 to raise funds for the preservation and maintenance of the Saratoga Foothill Club clubhouse and grounds. The Foundation is a nonprofit, tax-exempt organization with IRS 501(c)(3) status, allowing tax-deductible contributions from donors.
Since its inception, the Foundation has raised over $500,000 to fund numerous restoration projects faithful to Julia Morgan’s original design. These include replacement of the clubhouse roof, restoration of the historic rose window, design and installation of a new patio garden, and remodel of the restrooms for accessibility and modernization. The most recent projects include restoration of the original front doors and refurbishment of the kitchen. Currently, a major project to enlarge and beautify the front porch area is in the planning and permit stage, with construction to begin in 2017.
The Foundation is governed by a Board of Directors, composed of members of the Saratoga Foothill Club, members of the Saratoga Men’s Club and members of the community at large. The Foundation produces an Annual Report at the end of each fiscal year.
